Our Quality Standards
QUALITY AND STANDARDS ASSURED ...
The Local Care Company is registered with the Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) and conforms to the Care Standards Act 2000, and is also a member of the United Kingdom Home Care Association (UKHCA). To enable monitoring of our Quality statements, each individual home care package is reviewed on a regular basis against their Care Plan, to ensure the service continues to meet their needs. The Local Care Company's aim is to consistently provide a Quality Service which accepts dIversity, respecting a persons preferences and beliefs and their cultural, religious or specific gender needs, which - providing they do not contravene laws or Operational policies - are always accomodated wherever possible.
To ensure the your health and care is in the very best hands, a great deal of trouble is taken choosing reliable, caring staff. We check the qualifications of all our carers rigorously and all references are thoroughly taken up to ensure that our clients have piece of mind. We also ensure enhanced level Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) checks are undertaken prior to their appointment. A team of Supervisors work along side Care staff to give professional advice and support. Training is given where necessary to ensure that carers are proficient in the skills they need. A well established reviewing system operates between TLC management, carers and service users along with a daily recording and monitoring programme carried out by carers and managers. Carers, managers and service users are therefore always involved in the day to day care.
TLC has a proven record of ability to adapt to meet the individual service user's needs. We have cared for many service users with degenerative diseases, specifically MS, Parkinson's, and Cerebral Palsy, as well as Stroke victims and Arthritis sufferers. Working in close conjunction with occupational and physiotherapists to cope with their diverse needs we have provided successful care. TLC also cares for service users with mental ill health problems such as dementia and Aquired Immunity Brain Syndrome where communication with other involved agents, family and informal carers is vital.
