Whilst previous experience in domiciliary care is not essential,it is expected that the applicant should have a mature and responsible attitude towards their work, have a caring nature and display evidence of their ability to work closely with other. Above all,applicants must be reliable and conscientious.
Please note that all successful applicants will be subject to an enhanced Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check.
Briefly, duties will include:
- Maintaining a high standard of client care, taking into account both the client's physical and mental welfare.
- Providing general personal care - assisting with bathing, dressing, toileting etc.
- Assisting clients to achieve maximum independence, encouraging and motivating the client where necessary.
- Occasional domestic duties.
A driving licence and own transport is generally considered essential except under special circumstances
