The Local Care Company is the newly named care company that was formerly Red Rose Care Agency based in Bolton.

In 1992 a need was identified for a private domicilary service provider to cater for the growing needs of people who wished to remain within thier own homes. From this recognition of a gap in the care providing industry, Red Rose Care was born. The company was based in Belmont and operated in the Bolton and Darwen areas. It was the first agency to be registered in both Bolton and Darwen

By 1995 the Company had expanded the areas of work to include the Ribble Valley, South Ribble, Preston, Chorley, in fact most parts of Lancashire. The company became one of the largest in Lancashire winning many contracts.

The Agency's dedication to provision of quality care and a commitment to Equal Opportunity was rewarded with Investor In People status in 2002.

We believe that care at home is more desirable and is more socially and economically effective than care in residential or nursing homes. This belief underlies our whole ethos of care, and it is upon this premise that we establish our policies.
